Amend
To make minor changes to (a text, piece of legislation, etc.) in order to make it fairer or more accurate, or to reflect changing circumstances.

Biocultural
Biocultural Protocols refer to the cultural protocols related to researcher access and use of indigenous flora and fauna or genetic resources.

Copyright
Copyright refers to the legal right of the owner of intellectual property. In simpler terms, copyright is the right to copy. This means that the original creators of products and anyone they give authorization to are the only ones with the exclusive right to reproduce the work.

The action of modifying something to suit a particular group or task.

Exercises the authority and control over the management of data assets.

Data management
Data management is the process of ingesting, storing, organizing and maintaining the data created and collected by an organization.

Digital Identifier
A digital identifier is the body of information about an individual, organization or electronic device that exists online.

Digital signifier
Signifiers indicate critical information about something

Digital tools
Digital tools can be services, programs, websites or resources that can be accessed online.

Implementation
The process of putting a decision or plan into effect.

Indigenous data sovereignty
IDS refers to the right of Indigenous peoples to control data from and about their communities and lands, articulating both individual and collective rights to data access and to privacy.

Integrate
To bring together or incorporate (parts) into a whole.

Mechanism
A special way of getting something done within a particular system. 

Metadata
Metadata represents information about the data. Metadata enriches the data with information that makes it easier to find, use and manage.
